In the fiscal year 2023, the company reported sales of 21.5 billion euros and an operating profit of 2.6 billion euros (adjusted for one-time gains/charges and restructuring charges). 

Henkel Adhesives Technologies India Private Limited

Henkel in India operates in two business areas: Adhesive Technologies and Consumer Brands, both in the business-to-business realm. It has two legal entities in the country: Henkel Adhesives Technologies India Private Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary of Henkel) and Henkel Anand India Private Limited (a joint venture company of Henkel and Anand Group).

Headquartered in Navi Mumbai, currently, Henkel in India has a footprint comprising five manufacturing sites, two innovation/product development centers, a flexible packaging academy and five Schwarzkopf Professional academies. It employs approximately 1,000 employees across these sites.

Henkel is the name behind many well-known brands such as Loctite, Bonderite, Technomelt, Teroson, Aquence, and Schwarzkopf. The company offers a multitude of applications and services to satisfy the needs of different customers.

In India, the Adhesive Technologies business is a market leader in adhesives, sealants and surface treatments. The business unit is divided in 4 Strategic Business Units (SBUs), each following its own business model, and targeting different markets and customers. The SBUs are:

  • Packaging & Consumer Goods business develops innovative and sustainable solutions for articles such as packaged food and beverages, diapers and hygiene products, plasters and bandages, clothes and shoes, furniture and much more.
  • Transport & Metal business provides customers in the automotive, aircraft, aerospace, and metal processing industries with outstanding system solutions, a comprehensive technology portfolio, and specialized technical services.
  • General Industry business has been a leading supplier of state-of-the-art industrial adhesives and sealants, metal pretreatment technologies, metalworking compounds, and high-performance coatings to a variety of industrial markets for assembly, maintenance and repair.
  • Electronics business offers customers from the electronics industry a specialized portfolio of innovative high-technology adhesives and materials for the manufacture of microchips, electronic assemblies and thermal management systems.

The Consumer Brands business in India offers Schwarzkopf Professional range of cutting edge hair care products through hairdressers and salons. The business focuses on providing hair dressers and salons with the wherewithal required to deliver hair care services efficiently. Please note that the laundry and home care products are not available in India.
