YOUR ROLE

• Ensure accurate and timely financial closing and reporting processes in compliance with local and group accounting standards
• Oversee tax compliance, including corporate, real estate, and property taxes, while building strong relationships with tax authorities
• Lead accounting and tax-related projects, such as system migrations, process improvements, and other key initiatives
• Serve as the key contact for auditors, tax authorities, and external professionals. Lead the finance team in Hungary, coaching and developing team members
• Drive continuous improvements in accounting and tax processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance

YOUR SKILLS

• Certified Accountant in Hungary with a strong grasp of Hungarian tax regulations and experience ensuring compliance with both local and international financial standards, particularly IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a finance department, with proven expertise in accounting and financial reporting, including the practical application of IFRS
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience managing teams, with demonstrated leadership abilities to drive performance and foster team development
• Fluent in Hungarian, with excellent communication skills in both Hungarian and English, and capable of presenting complex financial information clearly to various stakeholders
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to manage cross-functional teams, along with experience collaborating with multiple internal and external stakeholders
• Hands-on, proactive, and independent approach to leadership, balancing strategic oversight with attention to operational details
• Experience working in a multinational environment, with the ability to navigate the complexities of cross-border financial operations, is an advantage
