Interview with Verna

Being an intern at Henkel, what do you like most about it?
I love the mentor-mentee relationship I have with the whole team. I can always count on them to teach me how to do my work effectively. They give me life lessons and encourage me to improve my skills and acquire new knowledge through various learning sessions with them because they truly value my growth.

What is the greatest learning you will take home after your internship at Henkel?
I realized the importance of thinking critically and creatively. At Henkel, they encourage entrepreneurial thinking. This has led me to try to think “out-of-the-box” by looking into the process, nature, and procedures of my department and try to think of alternative ways to make my work simpler.

Do you consider Henkel as a future employer and why?
Yes, I would love to work at Henkel in the future because I want to work with colleagues that treat me as part of a family. In my short stay, I am welcomed warmly by the team and they have been continuously mentoring me and encouraging me to improve my skills and performance.

What is the biggest fun factor while working at Henkel?
The biggest fun factor for me would be having the opportunity to have lunch together with the interns from different departments daily. On Wednesdays, we get to play board games and video games which serves as an ice breaker for us to all get to know each other. It has been a great opportunity for me to meet new friends.

What is unique about working at Henkel?
What has made Henkel stand out from other companies is how they truly encourage individual growth in their corporate culture. They let us interns learn the processes of each department in-depth and help us think, gain, and share new knowledge.

Describe Henkel in three words.
Rewarding, Dynamic, Innovator.
