Shah Alam Jalal

Job title: Internship in Global Diversity & Inclusion
Duration: 6 months
Business Unit: Corporate Human Resources

What is the greatest learning you will take home after your internship at Henkel?
I am intern in Henkel D&I and we are now doing a presentation on action plan. I am surprised to see how our team is doing tasks. For example they spend time in reading articles, books etc and always updated. What I have learned is “Learning never stops at Henkel".

What is the biggest fun factor while working at Henkel?
A) For me it’s the “dressing down". As of now I am allowed to use business casual wears. Which actually reduces stress. I belong to a generation between Millenials and Gen Z. I am really comfortable when nobody judges you on what you wear but what you do.

B) I like sometimes to be alone and the open office area with café is what I love the most. Sometimes I use the space to work or just to chill.

What is unique about working at Henkel?
I am with Corporate D&I Team and I work closely with our Corporate Head for D&I. I felt included in almost all tasks which we are focusing on. I also had the opportunity to talk with other regional managers and write them very often. I feel, I am included inside a worldwide Henkel network.
