We are looking for a Key Account Manager BNL to accelerate our business with professional partners active in Utility, Telecom, Sanitary, Irrigation, Wastewater, Swimming Pools, and Industry, as well as within the Builders Merchants channel.

This is your opportunity to join the Henkel Consumer, Craftsmen & Professional Adhesives team in Utrecht or Brussels in a strategically important Key Account Management role. In this position, you will make a real difference by operating at a highly analytical level and leveraging strong influencing skills to identify and develop opportunities, maximizing customer and channel potential.

What you´ll do

  • Manage and develop end-to-end commercial relationships with B2B and B2C customers across the BNL region
  • Take full accountability for customer-level P&L, including KPIs such as turnover, pricing, profitability, and new business development
  • Build and execute strategic channel plans by country in close collaboration with the management team and international stakeholders
  • For selected top customers, align business strategy and pricing with Henkel Global/International (DACH)
  • Negotiate investments, counter-performances, and promotional discounts, always aiming for win-win outcomes.
  • Provide technical and commercial support to key clients, including trade partners, end-users, and international peers. This may involve participation in customer events (demos, fairs, etc.) throughout the year
  • Develop and agree on annual joint business plans that align Henkel’s objectives and strategies with those of the customer
  • Monitor customer performance and proactively adapt plans as needed
  • Ensure precise, consistent, and timely communication with customers
  • Handle administrative tasks supporting account strategy, including sales forecasts, monthly reports, and other updates accurately and on time.

What makes you a good fit

  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commercial Economics or Business Administration with a strong affinity for technical solutions, or hold a technical engineering degree combined with commercial acumen
  • You have minimum 5 years of experience in (technical) trade, key account management, or a similar commercial role
  • You are an excellent negotiator in Dutch, and English, with a proven sales track record
  • Flexibility to travel between Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg for client meetings & events
  • You love building long-term relationships and it comes naturally to you
  • Passion for providing innovative solutions for adhesive bonding and sealing applications
  • You have excellent persuasive, presentation, and communication skills and combine technical curiosity with commercial acumen, enabling you to position technical USPs convincingly beyond price
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset and see opportunities where others don’t, actively shaping growth in a dynamic market
  • You possess strong analytical skills, capable of performing in-depth calculations, P&L analysis, and creating your own priority matrices
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable with modern tools: Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and leveraging AI-driven solutions to work smarter and more efficiently.
  • Ability to set clear priorities and manage complexity effectively.
  • You are organized, detail-oriented, and a dedicated team player
