About this Position

The Compute & Storage Subject Matter Expert will be responsible for providing technical leadership for compute and storage platforms in on-premises and cloud environments, designing, managing, and optimizing virtualization architectures (VMware, Hyper-V, Azure Local), hyperconverged systems, and containers using OpenShift and Kubernetes. In this key role, you will drive infrastructure automation through Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), CI/CD, and advanced Linux and Windows server administration, while ensuring operational resilience through backup, replication, and disaster recovery strategies. 

What you´ll do

  • Act as the technical SME for compute and storage platforms across on-prem and cloud environments.
  • Design, implement, and manage virtualization platforms (e.g. Azure local, VMware, Hyper-V, Openshift). Provide guidance on hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) and modern datacenter solutions.
  • Oversee infrastructure lifecycle management including provisioning, patching, upgrades, and decommissioning • Lead architecture and operations for storage systems including NAS and enterprise storage solutions.
  • Expertise in enterprise storage solutions (NAS, SAN concepts), performing tiering, caching, and data locality.
  • Manage and optimize container platforms such as OpenShift and Kubernetes.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines and enable platform reliability for application teams.
  • Drive automation using Terraform and other DevOps tools for infrastructure provisioning and management.
