Join Henkel and play an important role within the Henkel Consumer business, helping shape the future of some of New Zealand’s most trusted brands. As the National Account Executive, you will support the National Account Managers across Woolworths, The Warehouse, and Pharmacy channels to drive sales growth, profitability, and the successful execution of strategic customer plans.

Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams including Category Management, Customer Marketing, Supply Chain, and Customer Service, you will be responsible for supporting account planning, promotional execution, trade spend management, forecasting, category analysis, and new product launches. This is a dynamic, relationship-focused role that offers the opportunity to build strong partnerships with key retail customers, deliver commercial insights, and contribute to the success of Henkel’s market-leading portfolio within a collaborative and high-performing team environment. 

What you´ll do

  • Support the National Account Managers in developing and executing short and long-term account plans to achieve sales, distribution, profitability, and KPI targets.
  • Coordinate promotional planning and execution, including maintaining the IIS system, analysing promotional performance, and identifying opportunities to optimise future activity.
  • Manage trade spend administration by processing customer invoices, monitoring spends against budget and supporting the monthly accrual process.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, provide supporting assumptions for demand review meetings, and contribute to category reviews, new product launches, and customer presentations.
  • Analyse category and market performance data to generate insights and recommendations that support customer growth and commercial decision-making.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, retail partners, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of customer initiatives.
  • Take ownership of designated regional accounts and support the coordination of in-store activities, customer communications, and account administration.
  • Contribute to the achievement of business objectives while ensuring all activities are completed in compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.

What makes you a good fit

  • Minimum of 3 years' sales experience within the FMCG industry.
  • Previous experience in account management and/or field sales is preferred.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications are desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to present insights effectively.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and support commercial strategies.
  • A collaborative team player with a proactive and results-driven approach.
